Trek the Dog Canvas Painting

This is my painting of Trek the Dog looking on innocently towards his loving owner. This painting took me around 5 days to paint on a 16" x 12" thin edged canvas.

The actual photograph of Trek which the client presented to me shown Trek sitting on his favourite chair which we used as a basis for the surrounding colour, with the rich burgundy/red tones matching Treks black fur perfectly but not stealing his limelight. The colour is made to a fade ever so slightly near the canvas edge.

Please message me at my contact page if you are interested in having one of your pets painted on a canvas size of your choice.

Murals Edge - Business Card designs for 2015

After many hours of designing and discussing ideas this is our final design of the Murals Edge business card for 2015. Designed by Neil & Shinobu Bissett.

We wanted to maintain the look of the website with the colour scheme and also be stylish/modern but also deliver an impression of what Murals Edge represents, which was very difficult as we didn't want to overload the card with information and pictures.

The picture represents both sides of how our final design will look when printed, the curved corner may differ slightly.

African Jungle/Forest Mural

This is the deep African jungle/forest scene I painted for my client, who wanted a scene with various wild animals such as a zebra, elephant, python, tiger and more.

The main emphasis of this mural was to create the illusion of the child's room feeling like it was in the heart of the jungle. With rich vibrant colours used for leaves and plants and a real sense that you could just reach out to touch the animals.

Minecraft “Steve” Character Mural Painting

This is a large scale version of the character "Steve" from the popular game Minecraft.
This was a short job but also a challenge in it's own right due to drawing in a perspective/angles where I would usually be drawing in a more natural manner with curved lines.

Black Labrador in Snow Canvas Painting

This medium scale canvas painting (24 x 18 inch) is my clients beloved pet Labrador dog in the snow. This painting was created in a mono-tone style with just black, grey and whites acrylic paints.

I have incorporated a practice that I like to use more often nowadays which is to take pictures of my work in a natural light and then to take pictures in a dimly lit area with the cameras flash enabled. In the past I would take pictures of my work and for whatever reason the photographs would never capture the colours correctly.

Walt Disney Characters Acrylic Canvas Painting

This medium scale canvas painting (24 x 18 inch) incorporates my clients favourite Walt Disney characters. We decided on a some-what symmetrical layout with the two dog characters (Goofy, Pluto) in a vertical position of one-another, the two duck characters (Donald, Daisy) and the two mouse characters (Mickey, Minnie) in Horizontal positions giving the montage an even layout.

Dana Linn Bailey Acrylic Canvas Painting

This is a canvas painting I created of the above named fitness athlete for a fan. I loved creating this work, the background is a kind of coloured smoke effect like what would be used on a stage for a show.

Male Model Acrylic Canvas Painting

This is a canvas painting I created of a male fitness model. My client is the model in the painting who wanted this canvas painting painted in just black and white paint to show the muscle tone and definition, the background was decided as this strong blue after discussing many alternative colours which complements the black and white beautifully. I had a great time producing this piece.

Arcade Cabinet Acrylic Painting

This is a project I completed to paint an arcade cabinet which was a GCSE project for my younger brother. I was more than happy to step-in and help turn the wooden box in to a much more attractive proposition.

Jackdaw Mural Painting

This was a nice and unusual job for me, to paint a Jackdaw on my clients kitchen wall, you can picture the size of the mural from the photograph which displays the refrigerator.
